Smoked Rosemary Honeybee

Smoked Rosemary Honeybee

COCKTAIL — The Smoked Rosemary Honeybee combines the sweet warmth of honey and honey liqueur, throw in a little bit of tangy blood orange, and the fizzy fizz of ginger beer on top of smoked rosemary. This gin cocktail is a simple one and easy to make, but you’ll be whipping them up for your next housewarming or just to wind down after work.

If you’ve never done honey liqueur before, definitely start now. It has a velvety sweet taste that compliments just about any flavor. It’s a must have for any home bar. Whether you’re a fan of blood orange cocktails, rosemary cocktails, or honey liqueur cocktails, this recipe is a must-try.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz honey liqueur (I used Halo Honeyshot)

  • 1/2 oz melted honey

  • 1/2 oz blood orange juice

  • ginger beer

  • fresh rosemary

How to make a Smoked Rosemary Honeybee

  1. Using a half of a twig of fresh rosemary, burn the rosemary until it smokes. Place on counter and cover with rocks glass. Let the smoke fill the glass. Do not burn rosemary near any flammables.

  2. Combine honey liqueur, honey, and blood orange juice in a shaker with ice. Shake 15-20 seconds.

  3. Pour and strain in smoked rocks glass full of ice.

  4. Garnish with fresh twigs of rosemary.

Cheers!
