COCKTAIL — If you're a fan of bourbon with a touch of sweetness the Sweet Jimmy is the perfect cocktail for you. This drink combines the warm, honeyed notes of the Jim Beam Honey flavored bourbon, the bitterness of Aperol, and the floral fizz of Poppi Raspberry Rose soda. It’s a simple option for anyone looking to elevate their cocktail game.
I really love Jim Beam on its own and recently I stumbled upon their flavored whiskey line. The Jim Beam Honey, Apple, Orange, and Peach, so I started off with the Honey. The flavor is definitively sweet, so if you’re a sipping straight bourbon fan, you probably won’t be too into Jim Beam Honey. However, if you love sweet drinks and may shy away from traditional bourbon, this may be absolutely delightful for you. Despite the sweetness, I found it very easy to mix into a cocktail. A Jim Beam Honey with ginger ale is so simple and I would have no issues with that drink order. Overall, I think Jim Beam Honey is a good go-to for “semi-bourbon” types and a good spirit to have in your home bar.
The Sweet Jimmy is a drink that I wanted to develop for my friends and associates that are not as into whiskey, but they can still enjoy this cocktail. It’s smooth and sweet and yet it feels grown-up.
Ingredients
2 oz Jim Beam Honey
1/2 oz Aperol
top with Poppi Raspberry Rose
How to make a Sweet Jimmy
Combine Jim Beam Honey and Aperol in a shaker with ice
Pour into glass. Balance with Poppi Raspberry Rose soda
